Look in the contract who registered the strata plan should show the builder
I would like to know who was the developer and builder's names of this building/development, so I can look up for their reputation to see if it is worth it to purchase a property at this building.
Is this not in Canada Bay Council not Strathfield?
Nb The map is wrong….this is a Strathfield DA not Burwood Council.
This is so wrong - there are many heritage listed properties on Burton Street behind this construction - how can this occur? The area cannot deal with an extra 150 cars on the road - its congested as it is - this is right next to the new construction of the Concord Oval facilities - extra people and cars? Why is this being put in a week before Christmas?
Also, I don’t like that this has been put out for consultation the week before Christmas leading into January. This lacks transparency and a proper opportunity for local residents to comment.
It’s way too tall. Keep it at 8 storey. It ruins the character of the area and sets a precedent for more building of this size here.
The proposed privatisation of parts of Ainslie Oval shows that the football club concerned is no longer a viable entity.
Rather than allowing the club to finance its operations by selling off a community asset which it neither owns nor values for its intended purpose, the club should be relieved of its lease of the Oval, including its surrounds.
Yes Geraldine, retaining and planting trees is the easiest and cheapest way to contribute to reducing carbon emissions. Also a simple way to reduce the increasing unbearable temperatures in summer.
We need our trees. They should stay.
Too many trees have been cut down already in the Strathfield area.. I do not support the removal of this tree.
What is the proposed plans for 1 meville street strathfield
More and more eucalyptus trees are being removed from our area which is very sad. Thousands of native birds call this home. If this 'tree Removal' is a eucalyptus tree removal, then I strongly oppose this removal. We should be protecting these 100 year old beautiful trees that so may beautiful birds call home. Let's keep Strathfield beautiful.!
Demolishing these lovely Federation bow fronts is damaging our history and streetscape. Strathfield is losing its history and beauty, in favour of temporary concrete boxes that are cheap and deteriorate within years. Please retain the irreplaceable history of the area.
We wish our neighbours well with their plans for the future and are delighted to note that the project includes the felling of six trees which overhang our fence with deleterious effects on our guttering.
The home that is currently being built clearly does not fit the description of a two story home with basement garage. Builders have now added a fourth story onto the house which is casting a very large shadow on surrounding properties throughout the day.
The proposed new development at 15-17 Crane Street will severely affect the life quality of residents living in 19 Crane Street. The construction noise is understandably unavoidable but from the building's architectural drawings, the distance between 15-17 Crane Street and 19 Crane Street is too close and blocks out the north aspect's solar access. Most of the units for 19 Crane Street has a north-facing balcony or window, and in cases of one bedroom units, that might be the ONLY source of sunlight. From the pictures available, it is obvious that the developer for 15-17 Crane Street only considered their own future residents, and left enough space between 15-17 Crane Street and 11-13 Crane Street, for the purpose of having enough sunlight with a complete disregard for the residents of 19 Crane Street. Not only is 15-17 Crane Street 2 storeys higher than 19 Crane Street, the proposed distance is far too close and hinders the residents living in 19 Crane Street significantly.
Kindly stop the development at 28 Burlington road. Deeply concerned about the primary school opposite, increased traffic conditions, noise and sound pollution. Also the increase in potential criminal and antisocial behaviour.
Thank you.
wrong map to address .
Loftus Crescent and nearby roads are increasingly dangerous for existing residents. In the past year, with the multiple apartment blocks being constructed in a 1km radius, vehicles are constantly parked illegally from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm along Loftus Crescent, Loftus Lane and Subway Crescent. The lack of pedestrian paths mean residents must walk on the roads while vehicles (often heavy construction vehicles or from the local demolition and car businesses) drive at high speeds. There is also inadequate lighting in the evenings.
Developers need to consider pathways for all residents (not just gated communities) to walk along these roads, and councils should be more proactive in adding speed humps, safety mirrors and lights.
Once again greedy developers and council planning are spoiling residential areas
Residential areas do not need units. This spoils the area and units should not be built.
The environment should be kept as is. Strathfield is already overbuilt and nobody needs more units.
I strongly oppose building 3 storey apartment blocks in a residential area. This would impact on the environment and create a traffic hazard. Car parking is scarce already. Keep these apartments in the city zoning, not residential. It would spoil the area and people will move away. Greedy developers and council should be controlled from abusing the residential areas and life there Strathfield is already overbuilt and looking as ugly as is Burwood
I strongly oppose this building application as it will spoil a significant residential area. To build flats/units in a residential area should be opposed. More and more developers are putting more people into crammed small units. This will increase traffic and spoil the area
There is no reason that this area should be spoiled. Developers only want their money for greedy purposes
