The proposed privatisation of parts of Ainslie Oval shows that the football club concerned is no longer a viable entity.
Rather than allowing the club to finance its operations by selling off a community asset which it neither owns nor values for its intended purpose, the club should be relieved of its lease of the Oval, including its surrounds.
