To Whom it may concern.
We are contacting you to voice our views regarding the unwanted development of a medical centre in our estate, the following reasons we believe that this development should NOT go ahead.
1. Excessive traffic in the estate, the streets are quite narrow and it is sometimes hard to deal with the traffic in the estate now without adding more traffic.
2. Due to all of the streets in the estate being courts it will make it extremely hard to get in and out of our estate as the medical centre will be on the corner of the ONLY entrance / exit point of the Estate.
3. From the discussions with the other owners in the estate, we all agree that there is no need for a medical centre in the estate as it will provide no benefit for the people in the estate as we will not use it.
4. Obviously there will be a lot of trees that will need to be removed to build this development, the estate we live in is one of the last estates in this area with a natural old school feel to it. Why change it, so a developer can profit from it?? NO other reason.
5. There are enough medical centres in the area, approx 500 meters away on either side of the road and also surrounding streets/ roads in this vicinity, these are currently in areas that will benefit the community, there are no other estates that will benefit from this development.
6. We believe that this development will DEVALUE the properties in the estate. We have all worked extremely hard to live in this estate, it would be very disappointing for the council to approve this development so one developer can profit from this.
7. We believe this may bring unwanted people to this estate which may cause thefts and damage to our properties.
8. On the plan there does not appear to be enough parking in the development, this will push cars onto our narrow streets causing congestion, frustration and anger for the residents entering and existing the estate. Also danger for clients especially when a medical centre tends to attract young child who are not street wise or the elderly who may struggle with moving in and out of the traffic.
9. At the end of the day the only reason we can see for this development to go ahead would be a financial benefit for the developer, there would be no benefit for the community.
10. Can you provide any case studies that have been carried out to show that this development will benefit the community?
11. This development will be an unwanted eye saw for Narre Warren Sth.
In closing the reason we purchased the land and built our dream home in this estate is that the estate has the old world feel of days gone by, the privacy and security of a small selcuded estate. With the high density developments built these days, there is nothing like this estate in Narre Warren South. We don't want this to changed, as it is very rare these days and has finicially cost us a lot of money, to buy and build here.
We cannot express enough our extremely strong objection to this development, it is about time the council stand up to developers and take a stand. Please allow our Estate to stay as it is, put people before profits for once.
