This application states that no neighboring properties have solar collectors, this is a false statement as we are directly behind this development and we have solar power collectors on our roof. We are concerned about the effect this is going to have on our property, i.e. lack of sunlight and privacy.

Have Penrith council even seen how wide Markham Ave is? It's not big enough for residents that live on the street now so can you imagine 50 apartments with at least 2 cars per apartment then add friends & family OMG no where to park!! Then building this monstrosity diggers, trucks, deliverie trucks the workers (who will probably on 457 visas) cars, where are they all going to go! Oh Penrith council who is known to be great with infrastructure NOT but good at lining their mostly real estate pockets!!! How about thinking about the people who voted for you greedy non-careing non thinkers we don't want or need something this big!!!!

Are our elected Penrith councillors serious about granting the go ahead for this monstrous development? ??Do they REALLY have the well being and interests of the community at heart?Whose interests (we are wondering)do they really represent? ??? There is a building up of community unrestand anger at this flagrant dismissal &unconcern about the concerns and needs of residents of Penrith . Be careful "elected" councillors and take note of the big shake ups at the recent elections of city councils, where people have had enough of bullying developers and their political cohorts who ignore community concerns re the proliferation of huge apartment blocks& who dismiss questions about the lack of infrastructure, communal and green spaces, schools etc.
This council, along with the current state govt needs to seriously rethink their policies re optimal housing options. Why build these huge ghetto towers when lower height dwellings have been shown to be much more harmonious with urban Australian surroundings and much easier to maintain? Many dedicated & experienced professional builders are now advising prospective buyers not to buy units in these shoddily built high rise blocks that are less than 5 yrs old as these new ones are built with a quickly -build -and -run mentality, leaving buyers with huge maintenance problems on their hands 7-10 yrs down the track. To squash 50 units onto this block of land, and to interfere with people's privacy and entitlement to a decent life where they can enjoy nature &sunlight in their own backyards is to truly bring down standards of living that a wealthy nation such as Australia owes to each of its hard working citizens.
