IS there a reason why council are getting rid of the waste transfer station for the local area completely? This has been a great feature for those of us in the community whose closest tips for rubbish are very long distances away.

The actual building on the existing site looks like a construction shed, and seems to be a complete waste of the potential site area, the slopes and gradients of the existing site. The drawing submitted are not very clear of the location with the industrial zone.

I believe a longer term more suitable plan should be looked at using the whole area with potential further excavation of the area to provide more level space for an effective recycling drop off area for residents as well as waste transfer drop off of electrical and technology recycling, for mobile phone, computers and TV"s that have silicone and gold materials for recycling that would assist pay for the recycling operation.
