Apartments right next to a park sounds amazing. My friend lived in a parkside apartment in Wolli and we used to love watching the dogs playing when we visited.
It's close to transport so should have minimal impact on traffic. Dense infill housing is better for the environment and climate so I'd support it on those grounds alone. I live nearby across the train tracks, and the more apartments we have available, the less power my landlord has to put my rent up. I'd also like my friends to live closer and abundant housing would make it affordable for them to do so.
This looks like a very suitable development for the location and we should welcome it.
