I am writing to object to the application to extend trading hours until midnight, seven days a week. The proposed extension until midnight is excessive. Issues from noise (patrons, music, bins being emptied out after closing) and patrons leaving the establishment at midnight will negatively impact the residents that surround and live on Hall Street, and set a precedence for the entire street/suburb to operate bars until midnight 7 days a week. Council must manage business needs and residents amenity (and the interface between commercial/residential zoning) appropriately and in this case, bars trading until midnight 7 days a week is not sustainable or a good outcome for the area and its residents.
