As a direct neighbour I am concerned about the amount of dust this will create on our balcony during demolition and construction
Garbage bins for this complex will create a problem when you have 64 bins out for collection and cars being parked on Kanahooka Rd which is happening now
Thank you for your advice

My concern is parking and traffic flow onto the M1. If there are 2 or more cars per household, will off street parking be provided? How many of these cars will be joining the M1 peak hour bottle neck to Wollongong, or just trying to get to Berkeley exit so they can u-turn for Shellharbour? How about the council consider the M1 on/off ramps before adding more cars to the existing traffic problem.
Concerns:
* bins - adding 32 residences will mean 32 x 3 bins on every second week, and 32 x 2 bins on the other week, and Kanahooka Road is already packed with bins on bin night, I really don't see how more bins can fit.
* traffic is a big issue, with big traffic back-ups already happening on Kanahooka Road M1 on ramp and off ramp, and this will only increase with additional building. This can impact emergency vehicle capacity to get to emergencies quickly.
* parking - on street parking is very limited due to the high level of high density residential townhouses in the area.
32 units on such a small block is going to cause pandemonium with car parking which is already a problem on bin night
I am a direct neighbour to this develop proposal in the unit complex next door. Therefor I cannot complain that town houses are proposed. My concern is the number of townhouses that are being built. It is to many townhouses for the size of the blocks, making the area look very crowded and environmentally unfriendly. We must remember this is a suburban area, not a high-density living area. The number of extra cars parking on the street will also cause traffic congestion on an already busy road. The complex is also in close proximity to a school. Many young students walk to school and have to cross over the driveway to stay on the footpath. This means that they will have to navigate a driveway with a potential 65 or more cars crossing the footpath. Because of the height of the townhouses, the slope of the driveway and the townhouses on either side of the driveway, it will create blind spots for pedestrians/Children. This is a potential accident waiting to happen. And then there is the problem of 32 red bins and six communal bins each week, causing more problems with parking and congestion. Please consider pairing this proposal back to less townhouses and seriously consider the layout of the proposal for safety reasons. Thank you.
It is clear more affordable housing is required, however the councils and local governments are elected to make good planning decisions. The proposal to build 32 houses on this parcel of land, is not aligned with any Sustainable or modern planning guidelines. As others have stated the car parking, waste management other infrastructure will be affected. My view would be to build something similar to other complexes with 10-12 Houses as the access to driveways, parking, pedestrians creates a potential for accidents. Please consider these parts before a decision is finalised.

This is the space outside 126 Kanahooka Rd on garbage collection day We have 12 units in our complex so where the 3 cars are parked that will be the area for 32 units garbage bins so you dont have enough room for bins and parking so with the proposal of 32 units you can see there will be problems
