Continued use of this public bus shelter on the public road reserve for advertising should not be allowed to continue as proposed in the application.

The “Wyndham 2040 Vision” document (https://www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/about-council/your-council/plans-policies-strategies/wyndham-2040) outlines the communities likes, and hopes for Wyndham and the future.
This application directly relates to public infrastructure located on public land, so the Wyndham 2040 Vision MUST be taken into account and given as much weight or more than the planning scheme/advertising documents already referenced.
As it currently stands the application does not align with any of the themes in the Vision, which in turn means that it is not something that the community actually wants.
A more suitable use of this public infrastructure that aligns with the vision would be for travel information and artwork.
The internal facing signage area can display a map of the local bus routes similar to what is available from PTV (https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/assets/default-site/more/maps/Local-area-maps/Metropolitan/d4a04cebba/Wyndham_LAM.pdf).
The external facing signage area can display artwork created by previously unknown artists and/or students from the community.
If some advertising is absolutely necessary (to cover costs for example) then the bottom 25% of both signage areas could be used for this purpose. Ideally advertising would be limited to smaller local businesses instead of large consumerism based “for-profits”.
