The suburb is losing it’s character because of developments like this. No clue how this can be pre approved when it is ruining the neighbourhood.

It seems a bit suspicious that someone who is claiming to be "friendly" is using anonymity to insult others. To the nearby neighbours, I hope this development doesn't cause you any more grief.

This development application proposes a Dual Occupancy on a site of approximately 433 sq m in size. Section 4.1.9 of the 2011 Rockdale DCP establishes a minimum lot size for dual occupancies of 700 sq m.
As such it appears that this application is dubious and should be investigated further by Council.

This application concerns a dual occupancy for a site where a period house is currently located and where there are no other nearby dual occupancies. The proposal is inconsistent with Section 4.2 of the Rockdale DCP with regard to Streetscape and Site Context.

The proposal states that the cost of works is $600,000. This cost is far below the market rate for construction of a dual occupancy. It casts doubt over the accuracy of this application.
