Sure up the remaining structure. The area amenity is derived from the original structures. A permit would not have been provided to demolish the existing structure. The conditions need to be complied with.

Will there be an independent assessment of the safety of the facade at 57 Beaver Street? Given the heritage overlays in this area it would be a shame to affect the streetscape by losing this period property completely.

The owners obviously had no intention to retain the beautiful heritage house (or even the facade), they allowed a salvage company to tear through all the priceless original fittings/leadlights/doors of the house which leads to the common belief this is all part of their 'master plan' to avoid the controls respected by numerous other people in the estate.

DO NOT reward this disgusting behaviour with allowing them to destory the original facade to the detriment of our history, identity and culture aswell as destroy the overwhelming sense of community that comes from these glorious and irreplacable houses.

It's not the first time someone has tried to pull this tactic, just look at what happened to the stunning heritage listed house at 15 Wellington Avenue, Kew. Demolished because of 'structural faults' that conveniently spurred out of nowhere.

I agree will Ms Bradley. The owners have very suspiciously allowed the wreckers to “create” am unsafe structure. They should be forced to re-instate the facade and structure exactly as it was. If we allow this illegal behaviour to continue we will lose everything we identify as unique about this beautiful area.

I completely agree with Axel A. A backdoor way to achieving demolition when they were not allowed to demolish the house. Council should undertake an independent assessment and the owners should be liable for not taking due care and responsibility.
