There are no official commuter carpark in MacArthur North at the moment, which causing commuter and student parking in Western Sydney University carpark everyday provided lack of commuter parking near the station.
The development 3532/2020/DA-SW plans to build 944 apartment units, and plan to having “Mixed Use Retail & Residential… could accommodate a mix of retail and residential uses … Buildings would have ground floor retail that would provide local services for residents and commuters” (from p.13 URBAN DESIGN AND LANDSCAPE REPORT - A Main-RevC - Lot 1097 Goldsmith Ave Campbelltown - 3532 2020 DA-SW.PDF), but it is disappointing to see they only plans to include 966 car parking spaces in the development (from Macarthur Gardens North - Landcom).
As most apartment are being sold with a car parking space nowadays, I doubt if the remaining 22 parking space is enough for the new apartment resident, nevertheless to say the plan to service retail customers or commuters.
It would be grateful if council or developer would consider additional commuter car park, and maybe additional bus route in the area.
