This area site for a 36 place childcare centre is not big enough...it is an ordinary residential block and quite shallow in depth and overall area size.

The road is of average width (22 feet) and is not meant to have cars parked for any length of time at various times of the day. It would make the street virtually one way traffic. Cameron Ave is a very short street (six homes) and either end presents traffic hazards when vehicles come around either corner from Victoria Rd or Wesson Rd at a speed not conducive to safety which happens most days with children riding their bikes etc.up and down in the middle of the road....an accident waiting to happen!
Not enough room for off street parking for the centre!
This road is a "rat run" to avoid traffic hold ups on New Line & Castle Hill Roads and a main access to Valda, Wesson & Graylind Roads....therefore carries a lot of vehicles. Also very popular for walkers too.
The weekly garbage collections find it difficult to manouvre their big trucks in this street

Many of the homes in the immediate area are occupied by families with young children...more cars here would create further traffic hazards

There are, at present, four pre school establishments in the immediate area within one kilometre radius...do we need another one...probably not.

The current tenants have been there for ten years or so...very good neighbours...no trouble. The two children are lovely...the young lad completed his HSC last year and the daughter is in year 11 ..not a good time to relocate for this family!

It would alter the quiet, peaceful nice area to live in and alter the whole character of the area in a very negative way......we have been here over fifty years!

We agree with Donald and Brenda’s submission and strongly object to this application.

This is a residential area that does not need another child care business. It’s already a challenge to drive through Cameron Avenue for the residents and additional cars parking in the road is not safe.

Please reject this application.

To all residents, make sure you put your objections in writing and send directly to council. These online submissions I have heard do not always get submitted. Also note that every resident in your household can make an independent objection to this application and each are considered as separate objections. Good luck, we had a childcare operator attempt to push through a centre in a very innapropriate spot and residents banded together to reject this submission. It worked!

We agree with Stubbin family's opinion. Our family hold objection position to this plan.

Firstly, traffic and safety is the priority for local area. This proposed location is not large enough for a cc. When cars access to this location, they must drive along victoria road or wesson rd/Valda st. Wesson Rd/Velda St are both narrow, with local cars parking aside. Nowaday, we often have only one car to go when meeting cars from opposite way. We can not imagine how disaster it is when 36-place cc locate here, and more vehicles passing. As for the Victoria Rd, more risk there. Speedy is often seen in such a straigh road. At evey corner and t- sections, we have to drive very slowly and carefully, in case children riding bikes there. And the blind spot on corners is high risk for local resident if more traffic comes.
Secondly, the supply of childcare in this area is absolute good enough. We are young family with child at early school age. When we chose cc for my daughter, there are a lot of vaccancy. And a new CC will be conscructed near Koala Park. So additional one on Cameron Ave is not approptiate.
Please reject this application.

This is an absolutely ridiculous development application. Cameron Avenue is a very narrow street with a lot of walkers/no footpath. We all need more space in our surrounding streets - they are narrow enough, and too many cars. We already have two live-in care facilities in the surrounding streets with up to four at a time carers parking there, then with the changeover of shifts. The whole area is too congested as it is!

Council has approved this DA. Very disappointed.
