Dear Mr Simon Mitchell,

I wish to register my concern about the number of apartments being built on this parcel of land, a corner block, a ver busy corner. The impact on our services and the number of “reduction in car parking spaces”. For every apartment there must be a MINIMUM of two/three car parking spaces plus storage cages plus bike racks. Twenty four appartments equals a minimum of 72 spaces plus VISTOR spaces. There is no where for visitors cars to park on that corner. It is inevitable that these inappropriate little boxes will be built at least provide adequate car parking.
Please forward to me the plans for the building. Thanking you in anticipation.

Dear Council,

With COVID resulting in a drastic drop in use of public transport, and these apartments being small and more likely to have 'share house' arrangements in as opposed to families - the number of car parks is far too few. There must be two car parks per apartment, minimum. And sufficient visitor car parks for the likely 'partners' of the 20-30yos who are likely to live in these.

IF there aren't sufficient car parks, residents and their partners will likely clog up Riversdale Rd, making peak hour on a road with a tram even worse.

Why does Council continue to accept reduction in car parks. Used car prices have increased the past 6 months as previously one car families have shunned public transport for private transportation.

With our shrinking population and reduced numbers of overseas students do we need more small flats? Many are unoccupied already. I’m not opposed to medium density development. This one is not medium density. In addition, it seems from the photo that this building will be replacing a lovely old house. I think we should, as far as possible, retain these old houses as they give the area its distinctive character
